The graphics look decent enough for VR, the guns handle fine although not big fan of the shotgun. I'm also not a fan of the arm swinger locomotion at all but luckily there is trackpad locomotion as an option. The levels try to throw some variety with a few climbing parts and ducking down to avoid fans and such. There is a decent variety in mobs although the humanoid type robots are a bit bland and to easy as they don't move and just shoot from a static point.I'ts not a wave shooter, it follows a story and you progress through levels so that aspect alone is good considering there are so few of them in VR. The price seems steep to me i'd think $20 would be the final price not $30... guess we will see maybe by launch it will be worth $30 since it's still EA... This is THE most creative locomotion system ive ever played on VR, it solves the motion sickness issue really well, and its pretty intuative, swinging ur arm to walk in virtual reality can never go wrong, its simulating real life movement making you walk, jog and run. To top it all, you can always change your controllers in the main menu with another awesome controller that actually work pretty well in this game, the trackpad locomotion system allowing you to move all around the game with no bounderies. Simply love the options in this game.Running, ducking, gunning, avoiding incomming bullets and rockets, is so much fun and keeps your heart pounding. A great FPS with awesome looking graphics. The shooting is pretty satisfying, its like holding a real gun in your hand with a great feedback from the controller.Ive played the game for almost 7 hours and still ddnt finish the last level, the arenas and the open sandbox areas keep you coming for more, with different hiding strategies and different starting points at each time until you finally make it.In general the game is freeking awesome, worth every penny....Hope you guys enjoy it, i know i did.. In-depth video review available at: https://youtu.be/PE3To2oCOEUVINDICTA, especially on sale is absolutely a good buy. It's one of the few "proper" FPS style VR games. It has polished visuals, gunplay and sounds. It's not perfect by any means, and it's a bit harder to recommend at full price at the moment but I believe it will be worth the money upon completion (the addition of two more levels at least + tuning it up).Pros:Great movement options, classic analogue movement, default movement is an arms swinging one that feels really good.Majority of the weapons are very nice to use.Feel of killing things is usually satisfying and responsive, very Arcadey in feel.Linear "story"-based progression, nice to see an actual world being created.Decent length for price/quality.Cons:A few weapons felt awkward to aim, not sure if that's on me or not. They mention stealth which is completely misleading, I hope all mention of stealth is removed from the store page! They also suggest hiding behind things which is usually not the most advantageous way to play. Some kind of silly bugs like the robot-bugs walking through doors.Level design is functional but makes no sense, which makes the over all feel a bit cheaper.. There are many way to play this game via the locomotion options. The way it was intended, I feel though, was as an arm swinger where you have to stop and fire using the environment for cover. Some people complain this is why the enemies don't move enough and it is because you stop and dodge bullets and enemy attacks by moving your body when firing like you would in space pirates and you swing your arms to run to a new location. This mode works really well in this particular game for both immersion and playability. If you use the track pad like I did the first play through yes you can just zip around everybody and you're better off playing Serious Sam VR (also awesome unless you get motion sickness).I say try the arm swinger to move to a place with cover then do some break dance shooting like space pirates and I think you will see there is something to it. I am also interested in trying walk on the spot which you don't see in too many gamesGood content, clear easily understood controls, different ways to experiment with VR shooter locomotion. A worthy cotnribution to the first generation line up of VR games.. Pleasantly surprised by this Early Access title! Swords, well implemented one and two-handed guns, hip reload, and projectile dodging goodness! Has touchpad locomotion, but I like the arm swinging in controller direction option best.
